Peaceful Schools is seeking experienced and dynamic youth development specialists to serve as a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Interventionist embedded in the high school setting (grades 9-12) with the ability to support other grades for tasks such as return from suspension/re-entry circles. This is a 12-month position. The SEL Interventionists will support the implementation of a comprehensive SEL program throughout the school. Through small-group social skill instruction, structured conflict resolution. The SEL Interventions will support students’ social-emotional health and development. Supported by the Peaceful Schools team, SEL Interventionists will work alongside school staff to identify and address schoolwide and individual needs. Position is based out of East Syracuse Minoa High School.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Responsibilities and Qualifications:
· Conduct individual evidenced-based interventions
· Conduct social skill groups with targeted student groupings utilizing evidence-based strategies
· Monitor and report on student progress in skill groups and individual interventions
· Conduct Restorative Circles and Mediations with students and support staff-led circles, as needed
· Participate in school-based team meetings
· Support a safe and welcoming school climate by assisting with Arrival/Dismissal procedures and at other assigned times
· Conduct family outreach and engagement in coordination with school and district efforts
· Make referrals for students and families to services and community organizations for additional SEL supports
· Maintain accurate records and submit monthly reports on services provided
· Actively participate in Peaceful Schools staff trainings and meetings, as well as in select school-based trainings and meetings
· Display strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
· Master’s Degree preferred in Education, Psychology, Human Services or related field, or significant relevant experience
· Experience in Restorative Practices and youth development
· Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred
· Fingerprint and background clearance as required under Laws of New York 2001, Chapter 180, and its subsequent amendments.
· Computer and social media literate including basics in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Position is 12-months, full-time, working Monday-Friday during the school day, 40 hours per week. Peaceful Schools is seeking an experienced MTSS Integration Coordinator. This role is designed to support district and building-level implementation of social, emotional, academic and behavioral systems with applied integrity to achieve and sustain the fidelity of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. This position will provide expertise to support district-wide implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) with specific support focused on developing competence and capacity to implement a continuum of tiered school-based Restorative Practices. Across academic, social and behavioral systems, the role focuses on strengthening Tier 1 practices, building staff capacity to sustain the system with fidelity to nationally recognized MTSS standards. The coordinator will be assigned to designated school districts, with the focus to partner with school leaders, teachers, counselors, and community organizations to build equity-driven, relationship-centered systems that support student success.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Support the assessment and analysis of existing systems, data and practices utilizing the Baseline MTSS Audit tool developed by Peaceful Schools.
· Facilitate team-based problem solving to interpret data, including results of the baseline assessment, to identify key areas of development, and create a yearlong plan for addressing target areas.
· Identify and conduct Professional Development to support the MTSS strategic implementation plan.
· Assess existing knowledge, skill and implementation of Restorative Practices
· Identify and conduct Professional Development utilizing Peaceful Schools restorative tools and trainings to support the implementation of district wide restorative practices.
· Facilitate and model Tier 1 and 2 Restorative Circles, and support building and district leadership to identify and train key staff to conduct Tier III return to school restorative conversations and responses to harm.
· Deliver embedded coaching, professional development, and consultation for Tier 1 MTSS and Restorative Practices. This may include providing classroom-based modeling of instructional and SEL practices and integration within instruction.
· Collect and analyze SEL, behavioral, and climate data and support data-driven reflection and improvement cycles.
· Work directly with district administration and other school stakeholders to review practices and implement plans for continuing to grow and enhance healthy systems.
· Actively participate in Peaceful Schools staff trainings and meetings, as well as attending select school-based trainings and meetings.
· Represent the mission, vision, values and goals of Peaceful Schools.

Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in education, human services, psychology, social work or school counseling. SBL or SDL certification preferred.
2. Specialization working with public schools and/or social services systems, minimum of 8+ years of experience in education, with experience supporting student social-emotional development.
3. Proven experience in providing coaching and professional development, particularly in the context of MTSS or similar frameworks.
4. Strong knowledge of educational systems, data-driven decision-making, and evidence-based practices for MTSS.
5. Familiarity with restorative practices, trauma-informed approaches, and poverty-sensitive strategies.
6. Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively convey and communicate technical assistance, coaching and consultation related to MTSS and Restorative Practice implementation.
7. Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including administrators, coaches, and educators.
8. Experience working in K-12 education, ideally with a focus on district-wide or school-wide initiatives.
9. Strong organizational and management skills.
10. Foundational understanding of common school-based data for both academic, behavioral and disciplinary systems.
11. This position requires a highly collaborative and data-focused individual dedicated to improving the educational experience for all students through a systematic and tiered approach to support.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

· Day-to-Day schedule will be determined based on hours of the program and demands of the implementation. It is anticipated that the position may occasionally require evening availability to attend district-led meetings, conduct Professional Development events, meet with parents and community stakeholders outside of typical workday schedule.
· Summer schedules and assigned location may vary as determined by project needs.
· Participation in Professional Development session, Open House Curriculum night events, other essential school functions, and report to assigned location as determined by Project Director.
· Some telecommuting/remote work with supervisor approval.

Peaceful Schools is expanding and is seeking to fill an opening for a Community Schools Coordinator that is located in the Cortland Enlarged Scholl District.
The successful candidate should be an education or social service professional with expertise in community organizing, public health administration, or human services. The Community Schools Coordinator will create, strengthen, and maintain the bridge between the school and the community. Coordinators provide collaborative leadership to support a continuum of services for children, families, and community members within a school neighborhood. Specific focus will be given to activities that promote a whole-child, whole-family approach to optimal health throughout the community.
Under the supervision of the Peaceful Schools Director of Community Schools, the Coordinator will work in close partnership with the building principal and school stakeholders to plan, recruit, manage, and coordinate student supports and services provided by an array of community partners. The coordinator will facilitate the development of an Optimal Health Plan specific to the assigned school site, aligned with the School Improvement Plan.
Community Schools Coordinator Responsibilities:
· Responsible for all aspects of developing the Community Schools model and programming in partnership with and under the direction of the Peaceful Schools Director of Community Schools.
· Support the process of conducting a Needs & Assets Assessment, working with designated district and building data managers/teams to organize the data for presentation to stakeholders, working with identified teams to make sense of the data and to drive decision making.
· Organize and oversee assets and needs assessments on an ongoing basis and seek input from teachers, schools, school staff, parents, and students to determine ongoing needs of students and families.
· Guide and facilitate the development of a Community Schools plan specific to the assigned site, aligned with the District Community Schools goals and objectives and aligned with the school Educational Plan.
· Develop a work plan corresponding to the Community Schools goals and objectives.
· Support the coordination to implement a menu of needs-driven, high-quality programs and services in adherence with the community school model, including but not limited to expanded learning opportunities, health services, parent/family engagement adult education, direct material assistance, and interventions targeted to chronically absent students.
· Ensure alignment and integration of all programming with the district and building leaderships vision and family engagement priorities.
· Support initiative coordination in collaboration with the building principal, providing leadership for coordinating the work of different partners within the school, aligning the work of partners with school improvement goals.
· Coordinate the delivery of training and technical assistance to ensure cultural and linguistic appropriateness of services, programs, and communication efforts.
· Serve as a point person for agencies and programs interested in partnering with the school, facilitate alliances, and help to broker new partnerships with City agencies and not-for profits partners that are aligned with school goals and needs, establishing a continuum of services for students.
· Develop strong relationships with teachers, parents, and students.
· Build relationships and mechanisms to effectively link the school day to expanded learning opportunities outside of typical school hours including nights, weekends and during school recess.
· Support evaluation of the community school by participating in the coordination of data collection, timely submission of reports and responses to other requests for information
· Work with school leadership to maintain a focus on results and track progress.
· Participate in capacity-building activities, including initiative-wide and site-based trainings, network meetings, and with the principal ensure the participation of other site-based staff as needed or required.
· Represent the community school strategy in various public forums as needed and participate in advocacy activities to promote the community school strategy.
· Assist school and partner agencies with resource management and development, including fund development and grant maintenance.
· Coordinate the allocation of space for student and family support services, and for special events.
· Collaborate and coordinate with the Community Schools Assistant(s) to align requested tasks with project priorities and to schedule requested supports.
